As reported by Bloomberg, the US Department of Justice has signaled its intention to move forward with the extradition of Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon from Montenegro.
This decision has been made in light of a Montenegrin high court's recent ruling to extradite Kwon to South Korea, overturning an earlier ruling ordering him to be sent to the United States.

Kwon's defense team had also expressed a preference for him to be sent to South Korea, while legal experts have expressed concern that he could be acquitted or sentenced to a light sentence if tried there.
The US remains committed to seeking Kwon's extradition in accordance with international and bilateral agreements, as well as Montenegrin law, according to the DOJ report.
