According to Tien-mu Huang, director of Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), the country is exploring the possibility of creating a special law to regulate the cryptocurrency sector.

In response to questions from parliamentarians, Huang has stated the FSC is considering using a special law to oversee the cryptocurrency sector and plans to share initial results in September.

In terms of regulation, the FSC is currently focused on protecting investors and has been working with local crypto companies to establish a self-regulatory body to address any relevant issues.

It is worth noting that although Taiwan currently has anti-money laundering laws for cryptocurrency service providers, the sector remains largely unregulated.
