US District Court Judge Analisa Torres has granted the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) an extension of time to file documentation in the case against Ripple Labs.

The court papers, which were filed on March 1, allow the regulator to file its discovery materials related to the appeals until March 22.

The deadlines for Ripple's opposition brief and the SEC's response have also been extended to April 22 and May 6, 2024, respectively.

The remedies brief is a document outlining potential legal actions and remedies to be considered in connection with the ongoing litigation.

The SEC's lawsuit against Ripple Labs, its CEO Brad Garlinghouse and co-founder Chris Larsen began in December 2020. In this the regulator alleged the company conducted a $1.3 billion unregistered securities offering through the sale of XRP tokens.
