Crypto exchange Kraken has obtained its fourth license in Europe, allowing it to offer its services in the Netherlands.
The license, which has been granted by the Central Bank of the Netherlands, allows Kraken to facilitate exchange and transfer services for virtual assets, as well as provide custody and wallet services.

Under the VASP regulatory framework, which ensures transparency and protects against money laundering and terrorist financing, entities offering digital asset services within the EU must meet certain requirements.

Kraken has previously obtained VASP licenses in Spain, Italy and Ireland, and also provides services in Belgium through an authorized subsidiary.
