Montenegrin authorities have extradited Han Chang-joon, former CFO of Terraform Labs (TFL), to South Korea.
According to a statement, he has been extradited for the purpose of being tried for various offenses related to financial services, investments and capital markets fraud.
The statement clarified such crimes in South Korea are punishable by life imprisonment.
On March 23, 2023, Montenegrin police arrested Chang-joon and former TFL CEO Do Kwon as they attempted to fly from Podgorica airport to Dubai with forged documents.
Kwon was arrested at the request of US, Singapore and South Korean authorities.
