The British police have reported seizing more than £1.4 billion in Bitcoins from a massive investment fraud in China, the Financial Times has reported.

According to authorities in the country, Jian Wen helped his employer Yadi Zhang transfer Bitcoin from China to Britain.

The British police in 2018 seized four separate devices containing more than 61,000 Bitcoins from a safe deposit box and a property where Wen and Zhang were living at the time.

The value of the Bitcoins when police recovered all of the crypto back in July 2021 amounted to about £1.4 billion.

According to the prosecution, the Bitcoins came from an investment fraud Zhang had committed in China between 2014 and 2017.
