Crypto exchange Mt.Gox is sending emails asking users to confirm their crypto wallets addresses to receive their compensation.
According to Reddit users, the email has been sent to Kraken and Bitstamp customers, who have been asked by the exchange to provide their addresses to receive Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) payments.
The centralized exchanges will act as an agent to accept payments from Mt.Gox. If the account is disabled or frozen, no compensation will be paid, the platform has reported.
According to Mt.Gox's plan, payments will continue up to and including 2024. The platform will distribute assets of 142,000 BTC, 143,000 BCH and 69 billion yen.
