GameStop Announces Closure of its NFTs Platform

US video game retailer GameStop has just announced it has made the decision to close its NFTs platform due to uncertainty over cryptocurrency regulation.

According to the announcement, the closure will take effect next February 2.

The statement reads:

"Your NFTs are on the blockchain and will remain accessible and saleable through other platforms."

GameStop announced in August its digital wallets would no longer be available on November 1 likely due to regulatory uncertainty in the cryptocurrency sector.

The marketplace's X account has also not been active since September last year.
