Report: Number of Crypto ATMs Fell by 11% Last Year

According to Coin ATM Radar, the number of cryptocurrency ATMs installed worldwide decreased by 11.4% from 37,830 to 33,484 units last year.

This is the first time there has been a drop in the number of crypto ATMs in operation at the end of the year since the company began tracking the market.

In particular, the United States, with more than 82% of cryptocurrency ATMs, continues to dominate the market. However, the country has seen a 15.4% drop in the number of crypto ATMs in operation, from 32,672 to 27,631.

Among the three main ATM providers, General Byites, Genesis Coin and BitAccess, the latter has suffered the biggest drop (-26%).

After the number of cryptocurrency ATMs in operation fell at the beginning of 2023, the pace of device installation returned to growth in the middle of the year.
