US crypto mining company CleanSpark has agreed to buy 160,000 Antminer S21 devices from Bitmain with a hashrate of 32 EH/s.
CleanSpark announced in October it had acquired a batch of devices with a hashrate of 4.4 EH/s.
The first deliveries are reportedly scheduled for this month.
The company will receive a total of 60,000 Antminer S21s during April-June 2024 under the new agreement.
CleanSpark has paid $193.2 million for the devices, which will enable the company to increase its hashrate to 50 EH/s.
As part of the deal, the company has a strategic purchase option through the end of the year to buy 100,000 miners at a fixed price of $16 per TH/s.
