Hackers have stolen around $80 million in crypto assets from cross-chain bridge Orbit Bridge.

The unauthorized access was reportedly logged last December 31.

User Kgjr was one of the first to discover the suspicious movement of funds. According to him, the attackers initially stole 30 million USDT, 10 million DAI, 10 million USDC, 231 wBTC valued at $10 million and 9,500 ETH valued at $22 million.

Orbit Chain developers have contacted crypto exchanges to get them to freeze the stolen crypto assets.

Representatives of the project have written:

"In addition, we are collaborating with global security experts, including Theori, to respond to issues and track funds in real time. Additionally, we are in discussions with 26 global security companies about closer collaboration."
