The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has just announced it intends to launch in collaboration with blockchain company Modex its own collection of NFTs ahead of the 2023 Club World Cup to be held in Saudi Arabia.

The organization has informed through an announcement published yesterday that it plans to launch on December 15 an inaugural collection consisting of 100 NFTs and will offer the possibility to get tickets to the final of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

It also plans to issue another 900 NFTs on the Polygon network and OpenSea.

The NFTs will be available on FIFA's namesake platform, FIFA+ Collect, which was launched in September 2022 and is powered by Algorand.
