The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the financial regulator of the United Kingdom, has granted crypto platform Crypto.com an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license more than a year after the company registered as a crypto asset business with the regulator, the company announced on 4 December.
As an EMI holder, the company will be allowed to issue and manage electronic money and provide a wider range of financial services. According to the statement, the firm will now be able to offer UK-localized e-money products.
Crypto.com Kris Marszalek said:

Other crypto exchanges that have previously received an EMI license include Coinbase and Gemini.
