BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF, the iShares Bitcoin Trust, whose application was filed by the company back in June, has just appeared on a list maintained by Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, which according to Nasdaq, provides clearing, settlement, custody and post-trade information services.

The instrument has been listed on the platform under the ticker IBTC pending SEC approval, along with other proposed spot Bitcoin ETFs.

Eric Balchunas, senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg, has said in X:

"This is first spot ETF listed on DTCC, none of the others on there (yet). [...] Hard not to view this as them getting signal that approval is certain/imminent."

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust is one of 12 spot Bitcoin ETFs currently awaiting approval from the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Other firms that have filed their own spot Bitcoin ETF applications include Grayscale Investments, Fidelity and WisdomTree.
