Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano, has compared former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried to Bernard Madoff, creator of the largest Ponzi scheme in history.

This was the Cardano founder's response to the contents of Michael Lewis' book Going Infinite, dedicated to the collapse of FTX.

Hoskinson has also accused the media of giving a "free pass" to SBF. According to him, the attention they gave him, despite evidence of embezzlement, shows how corrupt the whole system has become. Especially "if you have the right friends," he has added.

Hoskinson has explained:

"There seems to be a group of people in the elite circles who desperately want to somehow get a public exoneration for SBF. We saw this with the kid gloves treatment by the New York times and now a book that's basically an apology tour."

During the hearing on the seven criminal charges filed against Bankman-Fried, it has been revealed he spent millions of dollars to build his image through aggressive public relations spending.
