US presidential candidate Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. has said he intends to protect BTC if he is elected president.
He intends to back the US dollar with the help of cryptocurrencies and other hard assets in order to provide an alternative to fiat money.
Kennedy has said:
"Freedom of transaction is freedom of speech."
The presidential candidate has been skeptical about CBDCs. According to him, national digital currencies can become tools for governments to control individuals' financial transactions.
Kennedy has promised that on the first day of his presidency he would pardon WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and former NSA and CIA employee Edward Snowden.
