According to Immunefi, in the third quarter of the year, Web3 ecosystem losses from hackers and fraud reached $685.5 million, up 59.9% from the same period last year.
According to data provided by the company, the year-on-year number of incidents increased by 153%, from 36 to 76.
Notably, of the total damage for the quarter, $662.85 million was due to 49 hacker attacks and $22.7 million to 27 cases of fraud.

Nearly half of the total losses were caused by the year's biggest hacks on the Mixin Network ($200 million) and Multichain ($126 million) projects.
According to the report, North Korean hacker group Lazarus Group was responsible for the theft of $208.6 million in the third quarter, 30% of the total losses. Immunefi experts believe the hacks of CoinEx, Alphapo, Stake and Coinspaid are related to their activities.
