According to a source of the publication, the platform already has all the necessary permits to provide such service in the UK, while it has applied for a broker-dealer license from the Financial Services Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in the US.

A company person told Reuters:

"While we can’t comment on rumors or speculation, we’re looking to broaden and enhance our offering so clients continue to have secure and seamless access to Kraken’s full product suite."
