MicroStrategy, an analytics software provider, has just acquired an additional 5,445 BTC worth $147.3 million, the company's founder, Michael Saylor, has announced.
According to filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the company made the purchase of the cryptocurrencies between August 1 and September 24 at an average price of $27,053.
According to Michael Saylor, MicroStrategy holds a total of 158,245 BTC valued at $4.68 billion.
The software provider announced back in June that it had bought 12,333 BTC for $347 million, while in March the company spent $150 million to purchase Bitcoin.
It is worth noting that MicroStrategy bought in August 467 BTC for $14.4 million.
