Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Drops by Almost 3%

The difficulty of Bitcoin mining has experienced a 2.65% drop as a result of the latest recalculation, standing at 54.15T.

The average hashrate for the period since the previous value change has reportedly stood at 387.57 EH/s. The range between blocks has exceeded the 10 minutes predicted by the algorithm by 16 seconds.

According to Glassnode analysts, the 7-day smoothed moving average has reached 396.2 EH/s, whereas in August, the hashrate exceeded 400 EH/s.

According to the Hashrate Index, over the past 24 hours the hash price has risen about 3%, from $59.8 per PH per day to $61.7.

Late last month we reported BlackRock owns shares in four crypto mining companies valued at a total of $411 million. The five largest cryptocurrency miners reportedly have a combined capitalization of around $5.4 billion.
