The Dutch Central Bank (DNB) has just approved the registration of Crypto.com as a crypto service provider.

Kris Marszalek, CEO of the platform, has said:

"Collaborating with regulators to responsibly advance the crypto and blockchain industry is of paramount importance to Crypto.com. This registration approval from De Nederlandsche Bank is a significant milestone for our business and the latest testament to our commitment to compliance."

According to the central bank's website, 36 companies related to digital assets are currently registered, including eToro, Bitstamp and Coinbase Europe.

The Bank of Spain last month registered Crypto.com as a virtual asset service provider (VASP). In addition, the platform has previously received permission to trade crypto assets in the UK.

The DNB warned consumers late last year that cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin provides services in the country without the necessary registration, whereas this summer Binance announced its withdrawal from the Dutch market as it was unable to obtain a VASP license from the local regulator.
