Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati intends to launch a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) based on Ripple Labs' decentralized network XRP Ledger.
The company's first NFT is reportedly a video chronicle of the evolution of the Ducati logo since 1946. Users can apply for access to the waitlist starting July 26 on the project's website.
The company first announced its entry into the crypto market in 2022. Then, the manufacturer partnered with Web3Pro.
According to Ducati:
"Over the next few months, a series of WEB 3.0 activities will be developed through the creation of new digital aggregation spaces, NFT collections and opportunities to participate in the new activities typical of the WEB 3.0 universe, already relevant in the cryptocurrency community."
Additional information about the project will be released at a later date.
According to Ripple, between November 2022 and March 2023, about 1.2 million NFTs were created on the XRP Ledger network.
