Stablecoin issuer Circle has frozen 63.2 million in the stablecoin in three addresses derived from cross-chain protocol Multichain, the 0xScope team has reported.

Meanwhile, Tether, the issuer of the stablecoin USDT, has frozen more than 2.5 million USDT in two addresses on the Ethereum network, according to team Fantom Foundation.

Last July 6, Multichain suspended operations due to a suspected exploit. PeckShield reported the withdrawal of about $126 million in tokens from the project.

Multichain experienced technical problems during a network upgrade in May. The team faced difficulties in removing them due to the loss of communication with the project's CEO Zhaojun.

Binance has suspended support for Multichain-related tokens due to the May incident.
