Bitfinex has just launched P2P services in Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela to buy and sell crypto assets.

From now on, Latin American Bitfinex P2P users will be able to trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, EURT and Tether Gold (XAUT).

Paolo Ardoino, chief technology officer of the platform, has said:

"We believe in the transformative power of Bitcoin and other digital assets, as well as the importance of providing greater access to innovative financial technologies worldwide."

P2P platform LocalBitcoins announced in February its closure. The service had been operating since 2012, enjoying considerable popularity.

Bitfinex plans to launch a mobile version of Bitfinex P2P by the end of the year, allowing customers to buy and sell cryptocurrencies on the go, along with additional features aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
