The Bank of Spain has just granted crypto platform Crypto.com a virtual asset service provider (VASP) license.
From now on, the company can offer a wide range of its products and services to local users.
Kris Marszalek, CEO of the platform, has said:
"Receiving the VASP registration from the Bank of Spain is the latest testament to our commitment to compliance and eagerness to work with regulators and public officials in responsibly advancing crypto and blockchain technology."
Crypto.com received permission in August last year to trade crypto assets in the UK.
In the same month, the company acquired payment services provider PnLink and digital asset provider OK-BIT, both of which are licensed by South Korean regulators.
The authorities in Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Singapore, Dubai and Brazil have also licensed the platform.
