Crypto exchange Gemini has just announced it intends to hire more than 100 people at its Singapore branch.
According to the platform, the branch will be the starting point for the company's entry into the Asian market.
According to the company's blog post:
"Our Singapore office will serve as a hub for our larger APAC operations. We believe that APAC will be a great driver of the next wave of growth for crypto and Gemini."
The exchange is already in the process of opening an office in Gurgaon, India. According to the platform, the company is hiring staff for the second largest "Gemini engineering center" after the United States.
In March, it was reported that Gemini intends to launch a crypto derivatives platform focused on the international market. Gemini will reportedly register a new service outside the United States.
Apparently, the platform's decision may have been made due to pressure from US regulators. In June last year, the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) accused Gemini of misleading the agency regarding its Bitcoin futures contracts.
