Investment firm eToro has just suspended buying and selling Algorand (ALGO), Decentraland (MANA), Polygon (MATIC) and Dash (DASH) to US customers due to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) treating them as securities.

Representatives of the company's US division have reported they have reviewed the lists of available cryptocurrencies "in light of the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape."

It should be noted that the assets were removed from the platform yesterday, however, users can still hold and sell the remaining coins.

The company has said:

"We remain a supporter of cryptoassets and believe in the importance of offering our users access to a diversified range of asset classes, which includes stocks, ETFs, and options. We are committed to working closely with regulators around the world to shape the future of the crypto industry and champion access for the ordinary investor."

Some users have reported eToro has not removed the native Solana token, which the SEC also considers a security. The company has subsequently clarified that SOL is not part of the US division's offering.
