Cryptocurrency lender Nexo is dissolving two firms in the UK, citing restructuring needs, Bloomberg has learned, citing regulatory filings. The London-based firm has reportedly applied to dissolve Nexo Financial Services Ltd. and Nexo Clearing and Custody Ltd. from register.

In a commentary to Bloomberg, Nexo Co-Founder, Antoni Trenchev, said the firm was "doing some restructuring," adding that Nexo is "rethinking the way we go about servicing clients."
In January, Bulgarian police raided Nexo's office in Sofia as part of an investigation into suspected money laundering.
Siyka Mileva, a spokeswoman for Bulgaria's chief prosecutors, said the law enforcement was investigating Nexo over alleged money laundering, tax crimes and other criminal violations. Trenchev, confirmed that Bulgarian police officers had raided the company's office, adding that the allegations are "absurd."
