Franklin Templeton Plans to Launch a Blockchain Fund

According to documents filed with the SEC by asset manager Franklin Templeton, which has about $1.4 trillion in assets under management, the company intends to launch its second blockchain fund.

According to the document, the so-called Blockchain Fund II is a private equity fund whose minimum investment is $100,000.

The company launched its first blockchain fund at the end of 2021 and focuses on venture capital.

In the same year, the company backed Galaxy Digital's $34 million crypto fund.

Franklin Templeton announced last year the launch of an ETF focused on metaverse, and then announced strategies to invest in cryptocurrencies.
