Yuga Labs is onboarding a video game veteran as the firm wants to deepen its technological side of Web3 products.

In a press release Friday, Yuga Labs said Mike Seavers, the former Executive Vice President of Development at Epic Games, would join it as Chief Technology Officer on May 22. Seavers will replace Kerem Atalay, who will still work with the firm as a close strategic advisor, Yuga added.

Before joining Epic Games, Seavers also worked at Riot Games as Chief Technology Officer, developing products for League of Legends, Valorant, and Legends of Runeterra.

Yuga Labs boss, Daniel Alegre, says Seavers will help the firm be at the "forefront of community and social engagement, through media and entertainment."
