Raiffeisen Bank's Unit to Offer Crypto Services via Bitpanda

Austrian financial giant Raiffeisen Bank is collaborating with crypto exchange Bitpanda on a new venture aimed at giving investors access to the crypto market.

In a press release on Wednesday, the Austrian lender said its unit Raiffeisenlandesbank NÖ-Wien wants to give customers an easy way to "accumulate wealth" with crypto. The both have signed a letter of intent to collaborate. However, the deal is expected to be finished by the end of the year.

Bitpanda to Lay Off 730 Employees

In November last year, Bitpanda received a crypto license from Germany's financial regulator (BaFin), which allows the exchange to offer crypto services for German investors under its Crypto Custody and Proprietary Trading license.
