Polygon Labs, the firm behind the Polygon sidechain, has announced a multi-year strategic alliance with Google Cloud to help blockchain developers roll out Web3 applications.

According to a blog post published on Thursday, Google Cloud will bring Blockchain Node Engine to the Polygon ecosystem, making it easier for developers to configure or run their own nodes. Polygon Labs will also use the cloud platform to run on it zkEVM's zero-knowledge proofs.

Ryan Wyatt, President of Polygon Labs, says the partnership aims to "increase transaction throughput enabling use cases in gaming, supply chain management, and DeFi."

LayerZero to Integrate with Polygon's zkEVM

In February, Google Cloud joined the Tezos blockchain platform ecosystem as a validator. The deal aims to accelerate the development of Web3 applications on blockchain using the tech giant's cloud infrastructure.
