Red Granite Pictures, producer of Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street, has just announced it intends to release a collection of NFTs based on the movie, Bloomberg has reported.

Randy Hermann, CFO of Red Granite Pictures, has said:

"This is a way to protect the intellectual property of the film."

The price of the NFTs will start at $100. Owners will become members of an online community where they can connect with like-minded people, buy movie props and vote on issues that can become the basis for sequels and spin-offs.

The company believes tens of thousands of people are interested in buying collectible tokens based on the movie. Theme parties and other offline events are also planned for members of the online community.

Last April 10, Red Granite Pictures secured a preliminary order prohibiting more than 150 websites from selling products that infringe on the movie's intellectual property rights.
