Trust Wallet Fixes a Vulnerability in Wallet's Code Base

The developers of Trust Wallet have fixed a vulnerability in the main software library of the non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet.

According to them, the issue affected addresses created through a browser extension between November 14 and November 23, 2022.

The developers have said:

"The issue is fixed. Most at-risk funds are secured."

The company has noted the problem did not affect people who exclusively used the Trust Wallet mobile app or imported wallets from other operators' services.

The developers have written:

"The latest versions of Trust Wallet mobile app and Browser Extension remain safe and secure to use."

The vulnerability is reportedly related to the WebAssembly backend module, which is a binary format that allows users to use multiple programming languages at once to create applications.
