Montenegro prosecutors have charged Terraform Labs Co-Founder, Do Kwon, and his CFO, Han Chang-joon, with forging passports, Bloomberg has learned, citing an official at the prosecutor's office in the capital Podgorica.

Now, a Montenegrin court has to decide on the prosecutor's indictment. In the meantime, the US and South Korea are seeking Kwon's extradition from Montenegro. In March, federal prosecutors in New York filed charges against Do Kwon hours after he was arrested in Montenegro.
The disgraced crypto entrepreneur is being charged with 8 counts, including conspiracy to defraud and market manipulation, securities fraud and misleading investors.
In February 2023, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a civil fraud lawsuit against Do Kwon, saying he orchestrated a "multi-billion dollar crypto asset securities fraud" involving an algorithmic stablecoin and other crypto asset securities.
Montenegrin officials arrested the two men when they tried to enter the country illegally to fly to Dubai using forged travel documents.
