Landing protocol Hundred Finance has suffered a hacker attack on the solutions network Optimism that has resulted in the loss of around $7 million.
According to PeckShield, an unknown attacker has manipulated the price of the hWBTC token to drain the credit fund:
"The root cause appears the attacker donates 200 WBTC to inflate hWBTC's exchange rate so that even a tiny amount (2 wei) of hWBTC can basically drain current lending pools."

The project team has reported they have contacted the hacker and are negotiating with companies specializing in cybersecurity. According to the developers, their goal is to reach an agreement with the attacker.
They have promised to publish detailed information about the incident at a later date.
