In a blog statement published on Sunday, the exchange's representatives said the hackers withdrew from a hot wallet around 23% of Gdac's custodial assets. While the nature of the attack remains undisclosed, Gdac said it had already notified the local authorities about the incident.
According to the report, Gdac lost nearly 61 BTC, over 350 ether (ETH), 10 million wemix (WEMIX) and $220,000 in the USDT stablecoin. Founded in 2018, Gdac supports only crypto-to-crypto deals with 20 trading pairs, according to data from CoinMarketCap.
