According to a tweet teaser published on Wednesday, the list of scam addresses will be collected by OpenSea and Blockaid. Before sending crypto, MetaMask will scan the recipient's address to see if it's on the list or not.

With the new feature, users will benefit from OpenSea's blocklist of known scams, as well as Blockaid's analysis of malicious behaviors like signature farming and wallet draining, the tweet states. However, MetaMask hasn't disclosed a timeline for the update.

In February, MetaMask with the help of HAPI implemented a new feature that allows users to check smart contracts, tokens, and addresses for possible fraud or other risks.
