Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Hits a New High

The difficulty of Bitcoin mining has registered an increase of 7.56% after the last recalculation, reaching an all-time high at around 46.84 T.

The average hash rate stood at 335.23 EH/s. Since the beginning of the year, correlated metrics have grown by more than 30%.

According to Glassnode analysts, the network's 7-day smoothed moving average has reached 339.7 EH/s.

Since the previous difficulty spike, the hash price has grown by more than 37%, resulting in increased revenue for miners. Apparently, the drivers have been the Bitcoin rally and falling electricity prices in the US.

Since the beginning of the year, the price of Bitcoin has risen by more than 72%, currently trading at around $28,000.
