Harvest Keeper, a decentralized finance protocol, which was promising users fixed payouts based on AI-powered trading strategies, has stolen nearly $1 million in crypto.

According to a tweet from a blockchain security firm CertiK, the project's smart contract was drained by a privileged "getAmount" function, available only to the protocol developer.

Hacker Steals $8.5M from DeFi Protocol Platypus

The scammers stole over $700,000 in USDT. The other $219,000 in altcoins were stolen across BNB Chain (formerly Binance Smart Chain), Ethereum and Polygon, using an ice phishing attack, when hackers gain access to a victim's crypto thanks to permissions given by their wallet. All social media accounts related to the project have been deleted.
