Tech giant Amazon intends to launch a Web3 initiative related to non-fungible tokens in April.

According to The Big Whale, a separate Amazon Digital Marketplace tab will appear on the company's website. At the initial stage, access to 15 collections will be given to users in the United States, whereas users in other countries will have access in the future.

The launch of the initiative has been postponed twice, allegedly due to the situation surrounding crypto exchange FTX.

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said last spring the company's platform could in the future offer the sale of NFTs. He also emphasized he expects "significant growth" in the NFT sector.
