The developers of crypto wallet Trust Wallet have just added support for Ledger hardware wallets via a browser extension.
According to the project developers:
"Trust Wallet now offers users of Ledger a streamlined and adaptable gateway through which they can access decentralized applications (dApps), manage their assets, and transfer cryptocurrencies between online and offline wallets."
According to them, the main advantage of this approach is an even more reliable storage of digital assets while maintaining convenience and functionality.

Jean-Francois Rochet, vice president of transactions and services at Ledger, has said:
"We’re delighted to provide more security to Trust Wallet users with this integration. Ledger and TrustWallet share the goal of empowering every user to self-custody and manage their own assets, which is the true ethos of crypto."
The Trust Wallet team added support for cross-chain exchanges to the non-custodial wallet in December thanks to the integration of the THORChain protocol.
