According to the regulator's updated list of authorized crypto providers, Bitstamp is now allowed to offer custody services as well as trading of cryptocurrencies. Besides Bitstamp, other crypto exchanges such as Binance and Bitpanda have also got an approval from the local regulator.

The move comes shortly after France relaxed its regulation on the licensing of crypto companies operating in the country. Operators of cryptocurrency companies can continue operating in the country without the need to obtain a full license until Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) comes into force.
