Bitcoin Miners Earned $604.6 Million in January

According to data provided by Glassnode, total revenues of BTC miners in January amounted to $604.6 million, an increase of 27% compared to December.

In particular, the average commission per Bitcoin transaction increased by 127% in January, from $0.62 to $1.41. During the same period, the corresponding indicator for Ethereum increased by 55%, from $2.93 to $4.54.

Notably, the share of commissions in revenue fell to 1.38%, down from 2% in December.

Amid the market rally, the Bitcoin hashrate has registered an 8.6% increase in January, approaching 300 EH/s.

The overall trend of the indicator is upward, indicating market participants' confidence in the long-term prospects of the largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

Meanwhile, the Bitcoin mining difficulty has once again updated its all-time high, at around 39.35T.
