The UK Treasury has just published a consultation paper on implementing oversight of cryptocurrency exchanges to ensure they meet "fair and robust standards."

The initiative is reportedly in line with the roadmap for the development of financial services.

The document, which aims to provide "confidence and transparency for consumers and businesses," is accepting public comments until April 30.

The UK Treasury hopes in this way to reduce the most serious risks of volatility and structural vulnerability affecting some business models in the sector by aligning them with traditional finance.

These proposals will make crypto trading platforms responsible for defining detailed content requirements for admission and disclosure documents, thus ensuring that cryptocurrency exchanges have fair and robust standards.
