Hacker Who Attacked BTC.com Pool Moved Bitcoins to Tornado Cash and Binance

According to experts from the analysis company X-explor, the hacker who attacked the BTC.com mining pool last December 3 stole a total of 32.5 BTC and 1,964 ETH.

According to these, the attacker transferred most of the coins to Bitcoin mixing service Tornado Cash, whereas some funds ended up on centralized exchanges Binance and Kucoin.

The researchers have said:

"BTC wallet 3FxUA8godrRmxgUaPv71b3XCUxcoCLtUx2 transferred 32.5 BTC (~$0.55M), suspected to be stolen. Attackers suspected of using centralized BTC Mixer for Money Laundering."

According to analysts, the hacker also transferred ETH to four new addresses. Subsequently, the funds were sent to Tornado Cash and then "to exchanges such as Binance."
