Sam Bankman-Fried Denies Involvement in Fund Transfers Out of Alameda's Wallets

Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of US crypto exchange FTX, which filed for bankruptcy last November, has denied involvement in the transfer of wallet assets associated with Alameda Research, a company he also owns.

He has said:

"None of these are me. I'm not and couldn't be moving any of those funds; I don't have access to them anymore."

He has admitted FTX representatives could have access to these funds and has also expressed his willingness to help regulators investigate the incident.

Last December 28, blockchain researchers recorded activity in Alameda Research's wallets. Addresses associated with the company converted $800,000 in ERC-20 tokens into ETH and USDT, and then into Bitcoin.

Users suggested that liquidators might be behind the conversion of the assets, but the researcher noted the trades involved platforms that hackers typically use.
