Seoul's prosecutors said on Monday that reports about Kwon's relocating to a Balkan nation "aren't false." The reports also say that South Korean authorities have already reached out to Serbia for cooperation on the matter.

In October, reports said that Do Kwon used Dubai as a temporary shelter as he was still hiding from law enforcement. A group of 4,400 Terra's investors is also trying to find Kwon. Kwon has repeatedly denied accusations of hiding from South Korea's law enforcement. However, he's whereabouts remain unclear as he refused to reveal it for "security purposes."
