Classic MP3 player Winamp is now supporting audio/video-content in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

The company announced in a press release that starting from the latest desktop update for Windows, users can link their MetaMask wallet with Winamp through web browsers. Winamp supports NFTs distributed under both the ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards and Polygon and Matic protocols.
Winamp CEO, Alexandre Saboundjian, said that the integration of NFTs reflects the company's goal to focus on accessibility and innovation.
Winamp also plans to launch a dedicated creators service in early 2023, although no details have been revealed so far. The new service is also expected to be will available on different platforms.
