Amazon has reportedly hired Russo Brothers and David Weil to make a TV series about the spectacular collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange, Variety has learned.

While the Russos are expected to direct the TV series about the troubled crypto exchange and its founder Sam Bankman-Fried, Weil is said to write the pilot episode. Other executive producers such as Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes are also expected to join the production.

Amazon is reportedly planning to start working on the TV series in spring 2023.

"I can't think of better partners to bring this multifaceted story to our global Prime Video audience," said Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios.

The TV series will reportedly be based on "insider reporting" by a number of journalists, who previously covered FTX. Rumors also say that Marvel famous actors about joining the show in key roles.
